Almond and Coconut Butter

A combination of the three ingredients provides for an ‘out of this planet’ delicious flavour: almonds, coconut and dates. Serves as an ideal spread for healthy bread or as something nutty and sweet to add to a morning porridge. Perfect to sneak a spoon of it when you crave for something sweet. RECIPE

  • time 20-30 mins depending on the blender
  • difficulty  easy
  • diet no sugar, milk, gluten

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 5 medjool dates  
  • 1 glass of almonds
  • 1 tbsp of natural coconut oil (virgin)
  • a pinch of salt (Sea salt or Himalayan salt)

METHOD

  1. Fry the almonds on a dry pan (just a little). Place in a blender and blend until a wet almond paste
  2. Then add dates, salt, oil and blend it all until a consistency of nut butter
  3. You can blend until a very smooth paste. Leave with bits to get a crunchier experience
